The printer simply does not get installed. During the process of installation, when I reach a point where one has to connect the printer through USB cable to the USB port of the laptop, the installation says "No printer is detected". I tried using all the three USB ports of my laptop, same error message persists.
The error blames the USB cable which incidentally came with the printer and is working with the desktop. A search on the error message reveals that apparently the actual error during the installation is different from the above mentioned manifestation of the error message. HP Scan and Print Doctor software which the installer downloaded on failure to connect the printer says the printer has been installed but the driver software has not been installed on the laptop.
Even though the problem apparently is with HP device, web references suggest this is a Windows 10 issue. Can you please guide through step by step process to resolve the issue.
